The three long and flat dark red threads of mongra with a yellowish red tail, which we find in the flower of saffron are known as lacha. Each saffron crocus grows to 20–30 cm (8–12 in) & is used in indigenous medicines as it has various medicinal values.One kilogram of lacha saffron contains eight hundred grams of mongra saffron threads, one hundred seventy five grams of yellowish-red threads, known as zarda saffron and twenty five grams of saffron powder.

Pushali saffron is lowest quality of saffron against Kashmiri Mogra Saffron and All Red saffron. Pushali saffron has stigma with 2 - 3 mm style. Pushali saffron rate is very reasonable against Kashmiri mogra and All red saffron. Approximate 102 kg of saffron flowers produces 1 kg pushali saffron.
